If they're using illegal tactics (I'm not naming names), then yeah - something should be done. They're not always harmful though - the government runs plenty of monopolies....

they're probably doing harm we just never got to see it, and government monoplies are just as bad or worse in my opinion, because the law seems easier and less aplicable in their case.

You contradict yourself (if no one sees it, then it didn't actually harm anyone, did it?), but I know what you mean - it's just so fun to give you a hard time!

I vote we all just stop posting in this thread, seeing how it's going nowhere, but I WOULD like to reply to this:

    >>Yes, but have you really ever given another religion a chance. Or is it just lucky that you were brought up in the environment that encouraged yours, so you could get it right first time.<<

I'm 15, man . I don't exactly have time to go researching millions of religions searching for the true one. For now I'm basically soaking up all I'm getting from my religion, AND the bible, and coming to my own conclusions. And as was said, if I don't know the answer to a religous question, I basically flat out tell you "I don't know". I'm quite happy not knowing everything, and I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm weird

Atheism is the blind belief that there is no god. An atheist thinks that the absence of positive proof is a proof of gods non-existance. Calling himself a scientist, an atheist fails to see one of the basic laws of science. The absence of money in my pockets does in no way mean that money does not exist.
Well said, though not 100% in stride with the point.

If I have no money in my pocket, and i have never seen money, and i've never met anyone whos ever seen money, and the only thing i have heard of money is that some people think it exists and some dont. There is a popular story book floating around in which people have alledgedly spent some money. There is also story books pointing out the unlikelyhood of said people actually ever having said money. Then, based on this information, i would likely believe that there is no such thing as money.

However; If someone were to walk up to me on the street with a twenty and say 'Hey man, check this out!' i would be forced to reconsider based on the new information i had just recieved. Its still different than agnostic. I have an opinion. Its just that its still available for input and is not a variable of type const.

    >Neither of us said communism was good

Well, to some extend, I did.

    >but communism is BAD!

    Why ?

    >the whole society is screwed by the lazy man.

    >I should not be forced to give it away because the mob belives others need it.

You still look at the things that happened. You take the strange creations of Stalin and Mao as communism. It is not. There is no wild mob robbing you of your profits. Why do you need to make profit ? Why do you need to get better, to win ? There is no need to. You work whatever you want and can do, and get all you need for it. Now you tell me this is bad ? Maybe even worse than giving the money to the rich corporations and letting some people beg for food on the streets ? Look out of your window. Imagine everyone would work and have fun working and get everything they need for it ? Wouldn't that be wonderful ? How can you say this is bad ?

Yes, this is Utopia, and I don't think it will ever work. Democracy and social capitalism is probably the closest we will ever come to that. And I like it. I don't know if I would like communism. But how can you say it's bad ? Don't you like freedom ? Happiness ? End of poverty ? End of Hunger ?

I guess the western states have waved their flags once to often and indoctrinated us like the warsaw pact states did with their citizens. 'Communism' is no longer your enemy. It might never come true, but still, it's a nice dream.

Communism/Socialism are wonderful Idea's. Many great economists who argue against them now (or earlier) admitted that in the long run they would be an ideal goal to achieve. Capatilism is just the cut throught tool to get a country rich enough to attempt socialism. Unfortunatly we are still along way off from as you have proved..(Wah, wah, if i make something cool i want the reward..me! me! me!...give it here!) But as we have seen man evolve from cruel beings that put women in ther place and enslaved men, we will probably see men evolve from you. A man not so caught up in himself but out for the greater good of mankind. Then a truly great world will begin to emerge..a world with free nationwide health coverage, and all sorts of other good things. Man will be on equal footing, each having and enjoying his part. Yup...we are a long, long ,long way off. But the men who went around conquering every civilzation they saw were a long way from us, and the men who enslaved other were a ways from us too. Eventually you will die and we will be on our way to a nicer place yet again Unless in all your wisdom you think man has become as good as he gets I wouldnt be surprised if you thought...

    >Jesus, was perfect while a man

wrong wrong and wrong! (and wrong again!)

First, I will field the one about Jesus being perfect while being a man. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Just because you have not sinned at all DOES NOT mean you are perfect. Read this scripture in Luke.

    Luke 13:32,

"And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected."

Clear and simple. On the third day, the day he was resurrected, he was perfected. Also, notice that in Matthew 5:48, when he says,

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect."

Notice he does NOT mention himself. He does NOT mention that he is perfect. He ONLY mentions that his Father is perfect.

It is only AFTER his resurrection that he is perfect. There is yet more evidence of this in the Book of Mormon, when after he is resurrected, he appears to the native Americans, and one of the things he says is this (3 Nephi 12:48):

"Therefore I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect."

So Jesus was only made perfect after his resurrection. Not before.

    >the trinity is of one person mind and spirit

argx...shall I prove it some more that the trinity is three SEPERATE entities? Yes I shall...

I already explained that they are one in purpose, not in entity, if you cant get that, here are some more scriptures to proove it to you:

First of all, I would like to revisit the point about Heavenly Father being a physical being:

Genesis 1:26, "God said, Let us make man in our image"

How could we be made in His image if he does not have a physical body?

Now...if both Heavenly Father and Jesus have physical bodies, which I have prooved already, how could they be the same entity? They are one in purpose...like I have stated before...they are not one in entity.

In John 14:28, Jesus states, "for my Father is greater than I"

hmm....well...that clearly states that they are two seperate beings, but it also states that Jesus was not perfect yet, for at the time of John 14, he had not been resurrected yet.

Now, look at Corinthians 8:6 which says this:

"But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."

Well...look at that...we believe in one God...the Father...AND (notice it has this one SEPERATE from the Father) the Lord Jesus Christ. It states them as two SEPERATE beings.

Now, look at Ephesians 3:14, which says,

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ"

Well, it says it again. He bows unto the Father, who is a seperate entity from Jesus Christ. By the way, in this particular scripture, he is talking about prayer...notice he says he prays to the Father, not to Jesus. We are supposed to pray to the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the mediator between us and the Father.

Now look at Ephesians 4:4-6, which says,

    "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

Notice he mentions the Spirit, Christ, and the Father ALL SEPERATELY. He says there is one Spirit, there is one Lord, and there is one Father. They are each their own seperate entity.

There several more scriptures in the Bible I could use, along with the Book of Mormon, but I want to just state one more scripture from the Doctrine and Covenants:

    Doctrine and Covenants 130:22,
"The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us."

Now, that one was really clear. The Father and Son both have seperate bodies of flesh and bone. Simple as that.

How much clearer can I make it to you? When it says that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one, it means that they are one in purpose. I have shown you numerous scriptures that they are 3 seperate entities, but you must accept it. Dont be so hard hearted.

The reason that Jesus says he is one with the Father so much is because his only desire is to serve his Father. He does his Father's will every step of the way, serving the Father to his best, and the Father and the Son are one in purpose, along with the Holy Ghost, who also serves the Father, and does his will.
Together they make the Godhead. Three seperate entities, but all one in purpose.

Awak and arouse you faculties, even to an experiment upon my words. Are you willing to try an experiment?

I think we would all be willing to try a simple experiment. Here is the experiment:

Purpose: To find out for yourself whether God really exists or not. Also to find out even further if what DavidP says about the Godhead is true.

Hypothesis: ...fill in the blank...after reading my posts...you decide what your hypothesis will be.

    Procedure:

Exercise a particle of faith. Even if you can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until you believe in the manner that you can give place for a portion of my words, and listen to them, intently, without a heard heart, and ponder what they mean to yourself.

Step A: We will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if you give place, that the seed may be planted in your heart, IF it is a true seed, or a good seed, and you do not cast it out because of your unbelief, it will begin to swell within you.

Step B: And when you feel these swelling motions, it must be a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge your soul, even to enlighten your understanding, and it will be delicious unto you.

Step C: Now, if this seed has grown, would this not increase your faith? Nevertheless, it hath not grown up to be a perfect knowledge. As the seed swelleth, and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow, it must be a good seed. And are you sure this is a good seed? Yes, for every seed bringeth forth unto its own likeness. If the seed groweth, it is good, but if it groweth not, it is not good, therefore cast it away.

Step D: And now, because you have tried the experiment, and planted the seed, and it swelleth and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow, you must know that the seed is good. And as a tree begins to grow, you say, "Let us nourish it with great care, that it may get root, that it may grow up, and grow fruit." Nourish the seed the same way, that it may get root, and grow up, and bring forth fruit. But if you neglect it it, and take no thought for its nourishment, it will not get any root; and when the heat of sun comes and scorches it, because it has no roots, you will pluck it up and cast it out. Now, by this point in time, this is not because the seed was not good, neither becase the fruit was not desirable, but it was because of neglect to nourish the seed.

Conclusion: ...Once you have tried the experiment, write your conclusion here.

I say unto you this: if you had faith the size of a mustard seed you could move mountains. That is how much faith can work within you.

I say these things, in the name of my Lord and Saviour, the very Jesus the Christ, Amen.

You guys do know that Communism calls for a

    Violent, Bloody Revolution
What will people say if they hear that I'm a Jesus freak?
What will people do if they find that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, there is no disguising the truth!

    >>Communism calls for a quote:Violent, Bloody Revolution

No, i'm afraid i wasn't aware of this. The fact that i wasn't aware of it probably has something to do with the fact thats its not true. It is theoretically possible to change any form of govornment without any sort of revolution. I'm not saying that its likely or even neccessarily good, i'm just saying that its possible.

DavidP: Good grief, man! Theres only so many hours in a day and i'd
spend them all in a single toss if i read every post that size!
