    I wouldn't hold it against someone for not having enough interest in linux to not know the details. Before I started using linux I didn't even know there were a billion different ones, I thought it was just one operating system.

    The question should be, what will Linux NOT run on? And it's not restricted to home computers like PC or Mac. If it has a CPU in it, somebody has probably tried to run Linux on it.

    I don't even want to start the Windows/Linux argument, but there's no denying that it runs practically everywhere. Chances are you own a device that runs Linux without even knowing it. Got a router or wireless access point? You might have a Linux system right now.

    well... not necessarily Linux, but at least some form of Unix variant.

    Yes it will run on IBM, in fact, IBM is a very big supporter of linux.

    Sadly I have a MICROSOFT router =\
    No wonder it's so slow, and it's a "major" operation to put Linux on it and I'm not up for taking it apart.
    I wonder if I could put Linux on my microwave...
