    About C Board?

    Dear All,
I would like to learn more information about C Board. It helped me so many times (and I am so grateful for that) but I still cannot figure out what is motivation for starting portals such as C Board. It reminds me a bit to open source. The help is offered with no strings attached. What people, who are running C Board, get in return? How they finance themselves? Is there any paralel between open source and C Board?
I would like to hear your opinion!!
    Thanks a lot

Some of the money comes from ads, like the one above your post.

I dont know why this page was started, but I am for sure happy that I joined. This is the best place ever to ask c++ related question. I allways get good answares almost instant. So, a big thanks to the owners/ admins and to the users

The c board is an independantly owed site, and is not related to open source projects. It was started in or around 1997.

    You have a heart?
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein

In Awesometown, the word heart has many meanings... like for instance, in Govt's example, a heart can mean web browser cache...

    That sounds rather unethical.

So not only did Pete Rose gamble on baseball, but he actually put your heart on the line for the game? I'm sorry, but there comes a point where you have to admit you have a gambling problem.
