The programmer’s wife tells him: “Run to the store and pick up a loaf of bread. If they have eggs, get a dozen.”
The programmer comes home with 12 loaves of bread.

How I envy that speed. (Not the bill.)

Actually, it WAS 2Mbit, but with the DTV (digital television, which costs only extra $4 per month), there's 6Mbit reserved for the DTV and 6Mbit that you can be used with a normal connection (that makes a total of 12Mbit). Also, here, in Estonia the highest speed available is about 15Mbit and that costs about $40.

Phone modems are the wave of the future Queatrix!

I'm using DSL now, which is nice: speed that costs less than an appendage.

No matter how fast your connection, on most sites, you still have to wait for a bloated php/asp script with two dozen database queries to run before the page displays.

Cable, 10 Mbit up and down. $7/month. I thought about getting 100 Mbit but it costs twice as much.
