severely pissed off
Remember CASE? 1700 records of computer acronyms? 200 hours of data input? Well it just got erased!
An iainpb.co.uk admin installed vbulletin and the entire database has been erased along with the backups.
What i want to know is - is it worth the amount of time to recover CASE?
(for all those that use/have used it)
-
LoL! Aren't you admin though?
-
Oops! That was silly!
How long do you estimate to recover CASE?
...and how on Earth did you lose the backups?

You should recover it somehow (there has to be a way...) It was really nice. You probably should register it with a few search engines and it'd be even nicer.

It wasnt me, it was a fellow administrator, remaining nameless.
But thats three people so i will rebuild case, only this one will be better.
The backups, for reasons beyond me were on the server. Still its done now and its a f***ing big learning experience.
At 1700 records i estimate 3-4 days recovery, maybe 7 until its back up to the 1700 records. Well, the next one will be better,
Thanks for the support guys!!

hmmm, the tables have also been deleted, as soon as the other member of the admin team reinstall the software i will start rebuilding case
for more info on repairs and updates you can check the site news board

Thanks for the rebuild. Not only did I use it occasionally, but I quite often recommended it to friends, fellow students, and coworkers. Geez, I should be getting a kick back :D

Thanks for the support and i can only apologise. I am working as hard as i can to restore it.
