    >Not really, but I think you should at least be allowed to say "**** you", or be able to talk about something negative without having some moderator closing the thread. And why the **** does it appear as stars? In other words, I'm tired of spending my time on forums made for weak people and designed for children, but there seems to be no alternatives! I'm tired of not even be allowed to say what I want. Most discussions here are totally pointless, like "poll: what's your favourite this or that?" or "who has the coolest avatar?" blablabla.. In a forum 'without' rules those weak members are removed automatically (they leave). They would still be able to post though if they wanted, it's so pathetic to use banning etc. just because otherwise the person can't win mentally. <

**** lets see if this works.

Intlelegent conversation don't require curse words. Second if you want a chatroom with out moderators make your own. If your looking for females find a clothing forum or something, that should be mostly females.

Series has acted like a perfect gentleman when he's posted
at flashdaddee. He's a model citizen when he's with us. We love
    and cherish him.

And no I haven't been smoking anything and I wouldn't give you
    any even if I were.

Considering he's only ever made 2 posts at FD's rick, I find it hard to believe he is a changed man. Yes sometimes, if you try really hard, you can see his point and he does make sense. Too often though, he resorts to abusing people that he doesn't agree with, acting with impatience, and extreme rudeness. What a waste of his life to be such an arsehole all the time. I guess it is easier to make people hate you than to make them like you, he has clearly chosen the less challenging way to live life.

I'm far too lazy to go through all the posts and moderate. If you wish, Series, I will. Though I can understand your feelings and oppinions, I have to remind almost all of you: The no-namecalling policy concerns everyone. Be polite. If you don't have something valueable to say, say nothing.

There you go! Don't abuse series, and he won't abuse you.
And if he still "abuses" you, still you shouldn't abuse him
    back.

First of all, you people are too 'nice', you're supposed to be evil.

This curse called life is about fighting and destroying each other, it's only when we don't agree we are able to learn and exchange ideas. And the structure of this world forces us to advance and to learn, there is nothing else.

So what do I say now? Well there is nothing to say. End of discussion.

Series X, the semicolon is a beautiful thing; you might want to use it. Give it a shot - it might increase your overall happiness. Your writing will not only sound better, but it will make sense. You can play the real programmer. You'll have a sense of pride and accomplishment. You can smile a subtle smile at those inferiors who do not, in fact, know the magic of the big dot over that ugly out of place comma. If you wish, you can ever pretend your writing has that power programs have, and that when we read your eloquent demands for freedom of speech we will all run rapidly to fulfill your every wish, and line by line no less.

This is cprogramming.com where people come to learn about and discuss C/C++ and other programming topics. I'm just thankful that there is a general discussion area where we can all take a break from the not always so wonderful world of code. This is cprogramming.com not anythinggoes.com or chatallyouwant.com or wearetoostupidtohavemoderators.com.

It is my personal opinion that the mods have done an excellent job here on this board. Leave the mods and their decisions up to the webmaster and them. It is not your job, Series, to do otherwise, nor is it mine.

So if you want a place to chat with women, go to a chat room - but if it involves women you can bet a million bucks that it is moderated and rightly so. America is about rights but not when they infringe upon the rights of another. Abusing others verbally on a board dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of a complex, powerful computer language is in my opinion infringing upon the rights of everyone here. Everyone has the right to post what they want - but the moderators have the right to remove said posts as well. If you take that right away from them then you have violated free speech.
There is no excuse for abuse. If you have to put others down to make yourself feel better then you have some issues.

    Speaking of issues:
Series you seem to have several issues and you fly the free speech flag so often that I think you have forgotten what it means and thus have become the chief abuser of it. If you cannot handle moderators, who are very open and very capable of doing their job, then you also have some serious authority issues. It is not about doing what you want, when you want, how you want. It is about having some common decency, respect, and becoming a helpful positive addition to this board.

You could become a great member of this board but as in everything in life - you must abide by the rules. Free speech has nothing to do with totally disregarding the rules of a community whether it be a programming board, town, city, council, workplace, etc.

Now off to more important stuff..............like C programming.

Unfortunately, said sayings are becoming a broken record. Hows that for a sentence?

Series has been told this many times. Many people have written novels to tell him to be nice, not kill himself, have hope, obey the rules, drive carefully, watch out the sky is falling, ... ok I am just being silly now.

It doesn't help. It fuels the fire and gives him more to talk about. Other than this post, I have completely stopped posting to him or about him. I still will not post to him.

These remarks are third party. When I posted a while back that everybody shoud just ignore him, I was serious.

The problem is, in reality, that many of you like to indulge in disputes with him. This keeps him going, and gives you some controversy to write about.

I do not think that Series is the sucker... he is the spider... you are the fly.

nightmare. There's a cool website that features his work and some other comedians but I forgot what it is. It in the archives
over at youknowwho.com. Maybe I'll look it up. Have you seen it?
