As a logical follow-up to the communication system developed for the Xsara Windows CE, the restyled Xsara offers an optional Auto PC. With this option, the car is fitted with a PC running under Windows CE. [B]A voice recognition and synthesis system[B] lets the driver control a wide range of functions including the hands-free telephone, the navigation system, the radio, the CD/CD-ROM drive, the address book and the six CD autochanger.
CD Player turns On
Passenger: "What the...? Dude, whats wrong with your car?"
Driver: "Oh. Windows Voice Recognition. Just turn it off... ... No that button beside the radio."
Radio turns On
Driver: "Aw, damn. Thats loud, man. Turn it down!"
Passenger: fumbling with controls makes an unknown call with car-phone
Phone: "Hello? Heeelloo? Who is this?"
Driver: "What? Turn down that music!"
Phone: "Bob?" (names changed to protect the innocent) "Where are you?"
Navigation system comes on
Navigation System: (Mechanical Voice) "Searching for link..."
Driver: "Ahhh!"
