Three questions about 2 languages.

First question, first language: after I write the code for a Java package, do I need to put that through and compiling before it can be imported?

2nd question, 1st language: I know the convention for naming your packages in the package statement (i.e. COM.yourwebsite, etc...), but what do you call the actual file it is written in.

Third question, second language: What do you do to write your own usable code and distirbute it in Mainframe Assembler like you would a library or package in Java? (emphasis on the fact that I'm talking about System/370, not just "Assembler", A mnemonic for the original). Do I write my own macros? If so, how do i do that? What precompilation do i need to do?

Thanks in advance if you can help.
