CProg Fantasy Football Year 3: Draft Harder

The NFL preseason is just getting rolling along, and that means it's time to start talking about getting our Fantasy league back together so I can whup all y'all's asses again!

In the past, we've used Yahoo, but there were some complaints about that not tallying points correctly, so I'm definitely open to suggestions. ESPN and CBS Sportsline are two popular alternates.

I also want to make clear that you can play this pretty easily without knowing much about football at all. The sites rank all the players according to their scores and everything, so you don't have to do much of anything.

Use this thread (for now) to sign up, ask questions, and make suggestions.

    Current players:

    PJ "Big Stupid Jerk" Yelton
    pianorain

Suggestion: Don't have anyone from Detroit on your team.

    Question: does this cost money?

Their offense should be a hell of a lot of fun to watch this year.

    > Question: does this cost money?

    Nope.

I hope so, I'm getting tired of opening the sports page almost every monday and seeing them lose

I'm in. And I'll vote for CBS Sportsline (why over ESPN you ask? I have no idea... I just picked one as I haven't used either of the 2).

Oh, I do want to ask one other thing - do we want a head to head league or a aggregate points type of thing? I prefer head to head, but that's just me.

Head to head is more fun.

Count me in again. It won't be quite as much fun though if we can't make fun of RoD and his all Eagles team.

Everyone's hurt by RoD's absence, but I think we'll make due. IIRC, he's in boot camp right about now.

No reason to be bitter just because I've won two years in a row

My only request is to tweak the stats to not be so reliant on touchdowns. Nothing more frustrating than to see your running back gain 150 yards but be beaten out by some guy who had only a one yard touchdown run.

I can't fill the shoes of RoD, but I can play the village idiot rather well. I'm in.
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein

I actually had been keeping that in mind, and it'll definitely be changed this year.

I say 1 point for every ten running yards.
