    Rushing helps. Don't forget to be witty of concealed enemy units - use whatever your race has, Terran for example, have those... turret things... that reveal concealed targets, such as Wraiths and Dark Templar. Place the turrets around key buildings and defensive posistions.

    The start of a SC game is all about a pre-practised routine, you have to be on the ball and build the next thing as soon as you have the money to, else you'll fall behind in the tech tree, and the computers will just rush your ass. In defence of RTS's, go and play SC and you'll see that there is a lot of skill involved, micromanagement, knowing the maps, teamplay etc...

    Oh and on a side-note, you must all be joking about that Doug guy, he's just not funny, in the slightest, my 14 year old neighbour is funnier

    Haha, never played much against the AI in that game, but it was pretty funny that the computer always rushed and you had to block off the entrance to your base (the AI's too stupid to attack supply depots in front of bunkers)

    Hey, jverkoey, on starcraft do/did you play a lot on BGH or money maps? I always thought those required less skill and were more about simply building as many carriers, battle cruisers, etc as possible. "Use map settings" games were fun sometimes though

    I played a lot of use map settings maps. Made a few of my own a while back too. I can't say I've played many FFA or team battle games on battle.net though.
