Hmm I have a BS in ACMS(applied computational mathematical sciences) and I work as a programmer. Anyway, its good work, and math does come in handy while programming, as well as the logical side of programming . Decent money too

BS in Computer Science from Washington University.

Three certs: Sun certified java Programmer, Sun Certified Business Component Developer, and Sun certfied Web Component developer.

I work for a mid-sized customer and information management company based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

I make decent money. Above average for the industry in the area...basically because there isn't an industry. I feel like i could do better in another city, but I love where i work.

    >I was wondering how well people were doing with those certs.
I have no certifications, the equivalent of an Associate's degree, and I make over $50k (though I won't say how much over). While it's possible to do well without certifications and such, it's better to stack the deck in your favor by getting them. I just got lucky.
