We spell it like that too. American English is barstardised (or should I say, "BastardiZed"). The Z thing annoys me to no end. Also "mom" rather than "mum".
It's terrible. It just doesn't sound right.

I find it funny when people have HTML and CSS validation buttons, and the site doesn't validate
Hell no. Keep linguistic diversity, dammit! There are currently more speakers of Chinese anyway....why not learn it?
