well I am trying to install linux mandrake 8.0 on a virtual pc using VMware Workstation 3.0, but it says that it can't find any hard drive lists, and I kept trying everything I could. any ideas?

is your hardrive IDE?
Is it hooked to a PCI DMA (like Promise Ultra 66/100)?
Is it hooked directly to your MB?
Is it SCSI?
Do you have native linux support for your SCSI card?
