this thread is to be hidden... [f heit 451]...

well, this has been asked but i'm very curious...

what are you programming right now?

    [insert added twist...]

    why are you programming it?
    what is your motivation?
what could you be doing in place of your programming now to make it better?

    me...

    graphical tech visions...

because it's fun for me, it scares and reassures me...
you guys, and the voices in my head...
nothing! i'm content in my confinement in the LFB...

i just know that database programming has to be the most boring thing in the world, so maybe we should program more creative things... and the first reaction to creativity is visual! hint^2: take control of your own Linear Frame Buffers and free your Soul...

    >>> what are you programming right now?

Nothing. Having completed my last project, I am leaving my current employer in two weeks, and starting with another early next year, where I shall be writing code to embed in groundstations for controlling satellites.

    Re twists, none applicable.

Interestingly enough, I started that thread last time... i cannot, however, remember my user name from before as I haven't been here for ages. It lasted for a long time though, I was getting e-mail regarding that thread for months...

    Hmm..

Anyway, I'm programming a dull DULL content management system at work (in Perl) 'cause they asked me to - motivation next to nothing for this one- and learning OpenGL at home. Allegro just doesn't cut it for me anymore... my new-found motivation for this (with help from JustinW.. thank you!) is my next RPG using a world generated from seeded random numbers.

Unfortunately I know i'll give up when I get to the point of drawing grass - why is grass so difficult to draw??!! WHY WHY WHY??

    Ahem

    Ah.

ps. Yes doubleanti, database programming IS IN FACT the most boring thing in the world. Ever.

    what are you programming:
    I'm programming an mp3 player.

    why:
    for fun and knowledge
but I’m going to learn winsock because the mp3 player isn’t fun anymore

Let's see. My current programming project is just a basic console program AI. It will interact with the user, when input is given. I'm trying to emulate a human as much as possible.

What will people do if they find that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, there is no disguising the truth!
