According to a recent report the internet is becoming vastly overcrowded. When the infrastructure was originally created it was only intended to support 4.3 billion devices (every device has a unique 32 digit code made of 1's and 0's making capacity of 4.3 billion). We are currently operating at half of this capacity with it set to double by 2005. A solution has been suggested by technicians to use 128 digit id codes but this would cost an estimated 25 billion pounds for the conversion of current servers and systems.
