    severe drop in spam

Anyone else notice a lot less spam this week? Especially in the past few days, I've hardly gotten any spam from my website address. I even sent an email from my work this morning to make sure it was still working.

Did spam assassin get updated? Did they pass some new laws or something? Or are all the spammers on vacation this week?

Possibly... I just thought it was weird... this is the least amount of spam I've gotten in years.

I had a definite and precise drop in spam which seemed to happen immediately. I'd get all sorts of stupid stuff like ways to make money, new offers and all the typical lines. I just kept ignoring them as usual. We'll they slowed down. I rarely have to deal with them in the inbox anymore; it's been nice but weird. I have almost thought SPAM was a thing of the pass for me(except for the light trickle I get ocassionally).

This has been going on for me for longer than a week. I don't think it's since I'm forwarding from a cPanel account either because I have no filters on(I don't know if cPanel filter stuff automatically like Google Mail). Nothing directly sends to my private address; it all passes through a webmail client.
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.

Same here. I never get spam anyway, so the drop in spam levels went right past me

Yes, there have been less spam the last couple of days, but the last 6 months have been better overall. Perhaps my mail provider is filtering the mail better or something. But I wouldn't say it's a big problem -- as long my mailbox isn't filled up SpamBayes takes care of the spam locally.

Oh, about the drop in spam, I've been running with my recruiter a lot lately so I haven't been at my computer sending junk mail.

Wait until I get to boot camp.
    See you in 13

today alone I got 37 pieces of spam in my school account. BTW, for 3 years I had ZERO spam at my school mail, and then the system got "compromised" and all hell broke lose.
