    I wrote the code and now need to know the names of the technical bits I have used without noticing.

    I'll stick to my assumptions and you can stick to not assuming. And if my code causes a bug, then that's what you get for porting my code to a stupid architecture
    I would prefer to ask for space for objects of the same type as the pointer, and not have to worry about what the type is specifically.
    Yeah, what the hell does it matter what you actually need?
