    Projects board

I've been noticing lately that the projects and recruitment board has become a place for people to spam their new websites or communities.

The projects and recruitment board is simply for recruiting people from this board to help on a code project. It was not designed, to my knowledge, for the purpose of every Tom, Dick, and Harry to come here and advertise their new board/forum/tech community and spam links to it.

Recruitment for the purpose of increasing membership at another board or community does not fall under the guidelines of our recruitment board. I'm not an admin and I have no power to monitor this but I would appreciate it if those posts were deleted.

I agree with that sentiment. The point of the recruiting board seems like it should be solely recruitment for specific projects. That keeps the information relevant, and minimizes the number of worthless posts.

    Cheers

But the raincoat thread is classy.

Our mods have alot of work to do, and they arent perfect. I'm sure they will deal with this issue promptly.

    Word up.

I'll admit I don't check the P&R board very often. I'll make it a point to look at it more carefully from now on and deal with problems there.

You are absolutely correct Bubba. It has been poor moderatoring, for which I am to blame, that has allowed such posts in the past. They will not be allowed in the future.
