Alcohol is a depressant, it actually slows down your thought processes rather than enhancing them. A better (and safer) way to improve your coding is to increase bloodflow to the brain through moderate exercise. Or you could read a book and practice, you lazy slacker. ;)
I don't code better but I am able to do first level debugging easier. Once I am relaxed I don't overthink the problem and am more willing to try different approaches.
But if I'm designing a solution you better believe I'm stone sober.
