I've just received a letter from IGDA with more information on their research on Quality of Life in the gaming industry (built on from the white paper they published a few months back). In the references for the newsletter, there was a link to a guy's blog at EA:

I found it very interesting, I'd read through the IGDA's white paper when they published it and that kind of made me wavery about joining up with the gaming industry, as I would like to eventually have a family someday....so I've been spending a lot more time lately designing software rather than gamedev stuff...

Just wondering what others thought about that blog post, it's kinda tipped me even further in the general direction of not wanting to join the gamedev industry..
