Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

Ha, that's a joke if I ever heard one. I remember my physics teacher telling us if you leave a nail in coke it friggin dissolves.Unsurprisingly, Pepsi and Coca-Cola strongly disagree, saying there is nothing in the drinks that can be used in pest control.

I tried that once...Left it in some coke for about a week and nothing at all happened to the nail.

I am pretty sure that if you place a tooth in a glass of coke/pepsi it will dissolve.
I actually went to a few websites and one said the nail thing was "unproven," another that it couldn't happen, and another that you needed to use an uncoated iron nail. Maybe the iron thing makes a difference
Hmm does anyone else have trouble using smilies?

coke is one awsome cleaner when it comes to copper waterblocks/heatsinks.
What does glucose have to do with it? I mean it contributes to tooth decay, but thats because of saliva and bacteria in the mouth that ends up producing lactic acid.Originally Posted by B0bDole
