    Good colleges for language study

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good colleges for language / linguistics study. If you know of any, especially if they are in TX or just the US, send it my way! Thanks!

    EDIT:
More specifically, Mandarin Chinese as a language. China is gonna be big business wise, so translators will be much better off to know it.

most schools offer various second language programs, you'll probably have to pick a few specific languages your interested in and find schools that have good programs for those languages. As for linguistics... no idea.

Depends on if you want languages or linguistics. (I'm doubling with linguistics & aero/astro engineering). For linguistics, though, MIT is rather good.
The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.
