Yeah, but the only bad thing is Ivan is about to slaughter us. About to go and bag sandbags.

lol, you are in Florida I see. ;)
Doesnt this make THREE hurricanes in a ROW?
Sheesh, hope you do ok man!
he lives in louisiana
Woops - forgot to look at what it said beside "location".
Oh well.........uhm..........close enough! :D
I don't see why people live in Florida. Too darn dangerous. Personally I'd rather live there in the winter and live up north in the summer.
One problem with the storm is you may not have any power. No power means no C/C++. But it does mean no school too. :D
lol, true :DQuote:

*wipes sweat from forehead*
I live in Virginia as well. But once back in I think it was the 60s a storm came through called Camile (sp?). It was only a tropical depression I believe and yet it managed to cause havoc. The reason it caused havoc was it pulled water from the Atlantic ocean and poured it down on the area I'm in. I heard it killed about 100 people in the process.
i cannot wait to move back to FL.
florida got two this year. usually, we don't get any. It's not that terribly dangerous here.
You could always live where its safe from hurricanes. You know, like Harlem.
FL got 3 this year....
Yea my Family is in the process of fleeing New Orleans to go to TN and TX...
Hope my old house is standing on Wed...
Charley and Frances makes 2.
Ivan may hit the panhandle, when and if it does, it'll be 3
Hey linuxdude, be careful in that storm man. Hope it doesn't do too much damage to your place.
no school for me as well :) the power went out through out the East side of campus. Good for me as I pulled an allnighter and finished my program :)
Hey linuxdude,
What school/city are you from? I'm at LSU in BR, and we're still waiting to be let out... But I hear SU is already out... New Orleans is being evacuated...
I wish the school would just let us out now so we don't have to wait until the rain really hits hard...
Oh well.. Good luck to everybody that's caught in the storm, or in the process of running from it. Be careful.
I live in Slidell and go to Slidell High School. It is above Lake Pontchartrain(hey at least it isn't as hard to spell as say: atchafalaya)
Yeah, Im in Alabama.. Its headed right fricken for me.
So if im not here after thursday.. remember me well...
:p
And make a nice memorial post.. :D
California is nice because we don't get any forewarning (well ok we get some but thats rare) of earthquakes.
Not to be a jerk Vicious, but I've been praying that'll hit you...aka not me...Still a total crap shoot now though...
FillYourBrain -
I'm wrong. I was counting Bonnie - which was only a TS.
You know there is an old spiritual about these sorts of things, and it goes something like this...
'Keep it over there Lord, keep it over there...'
;)

Actually I was kinda praying that too.Quote:

All of the stores here are like, wiped out of all kinds of batteries and canned chicken.
Have fun with Ivan: Frances and Charley were enough for this state, and Janeane might just be one too many. Is Ivan still a 5? Eek.
edit: I missed something like 13 days of school because of Frances, so you might be in luck :p

News like this make me like Sweden. We've had "severe floods" the past two summers, meaning a few hundred people's basements were destroyed. :)
I hope you all will be OK.
The Netherlands had one little pathetic earthquake. I think a few cups were destroyed (OH MY!). And a lil' storm. Nothin' here :p
