Please help me with MPG's

Alright im trying to download some video so i click on the link and everytime i click an MPG file it opens it with Quicktime. I even go to the My Computer > Tools > Options and look at File Extentions and it says that the default player is Windows Media Player. Al other ones like WMV MPEG AVI AND ASX and stuff all open with WMP. Can someone help me out please thanks.

Go into the preferences for Quicktime and unassociate that file type with the player.

Well Quicktime associations says that it isn't associated with anything besides Macintosh files. I dunno...

What browser?

What happens if you double click an mpg on your local drive?
When all else fails, read the instructions.
If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
Don't know if this'll work:

Look for the MPG link

Might want to backup the registry first

Alternatively, load WMP, go to the options, file associations tab, uncheck mpg, save it/close, go back, check it, save it/close.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

If it is only doing it in IE, then one your quicktime plugin is grabbing it before the wmp is getting to it. If you reinstall wmp or just try changing in the file associations via wmp, it should work.
