I just ate aprox. 210mg of caffiene via caffienated candy (Turbo Truffles) about forty minutes ago and am feeling fine, still twitching slightly. Thought I'd just give it a try. Is there a world record for a contiguos span of non-sleeping? For you guys worrying about my gas mileage and driving, give it a rest (no pun intended). I'm not endagering anyone while I'm driving around at 3:30 a.m. on rural backroads, promise, Though I have driven to each state in my tri-state area since the fourth. The more that I think about this whole thing of not sleeping, I like it. I seem to remember reading an article a couple of month ago on astnn.com that had some substance in it about military or gov't testing with some chems that did something to the seratonin levels in the body and showed that sleep wasn't necessary in this altered state.
Weeel, itss aboot tieme wee goo back too Canada, eeehy boyss.

yeah you are right...you are not endangering anybody...except maybe yourself...they probably wont be able to find your body if you crash out there...maybe it would be better to drive in the city so you just stop procrastinating the inevitable
I find this whole thing humurous.
Couldn't this fall under rule 15? I know why I require sleep, because if I don't get enough I'm libel to take some people's head off for forgetting a semicolon

And whilst the emergency services are pulling you from your car after you've totalled it, people who really need their assistance have to wait. Plus, I could be on my way home from work, I don't want to go head to head with your car in a country lane.
If you want to experiment with lack of sleep, fine, but do the rest of the world a favour, and stay off the freeking road.

I see that Thantos apparently calls himself a guru now.
7 hours of sleep in the past 120 hours definitely qualifies as a mental malfunction. A normal person's body forces itself to shut down after a while, even if you are laden with caffeine. I also suspect you have slept more than 7 hours in the past 120, because what tends to happen is you slip into insanity. I read of a DJ that tried staying up for three days straight as a part of a radio show thing or something like that, and he went insane (never to recover, mind you).Originally Posted by jinx

Well, I dont know why we need sleep. Besides the fact lots of chemical reactions and stuff happen.
However, I admit I get about 3 to 4 hours of sleep a day at most. And yet I feel pretty good.
