    Howard Stern Bulletin Board

Anyone checked it out yet? It premiered today, but I haven't really had a chance to look at much because there are so many users that I keep getting shunned. The users are so plentiful, in fact, they have the board running on 5 servers currently (and are still going to add more!).

I'm doubting there are many fans here (other than myself), but thought I'd mention just in case.

I heard they were gonna do that. I don't listen to him much (used to listen to him as much as possible), but I did catch that. I'm really surprised it has taken this long to even get a decent web presence. His technical team has failed him IMO.

Actually he failed himself, if you want to look at it that way because he purposely never put anything on his website because he felt technology was not at a point where it would allow him to do what he wanted to do on the web. It is only as a result of his recent "difficulties" with the government god-lovers that he began posting info about W and the FCC and what-not. He felt that he needed somewhere that his listeners could congregate and be contacted directly by him in the event that he is thrown off the air, and the net proved to be just the place, except of course for the fact that the team he hired to get him there (a company called DreamTank) is now realizing that "stacks and stacks" of servers will be required to match demand with supply.

Seriously. You'd think a guy with such a huge amount of fans would have at least SOMETHING out there.

I don't even like Howard Stern that much (and I can't listen to him in my area anyways), but someone really dropped the ball on this one.
