    Poem

I wrote a poem for my creative writing class...

    Programming

    It can be confusing,
    And sometimes amusing
And sometimes it seems like you’ve won.
    Then you look back,
    And see you’ve lost track
    Where’s that missing semicolon?
    And then there are days
When you just have to say
    I can’t get anything right.
    The compiler is broken,
    Microsoft has spoken,
I’m just giving up the fight.
    Why is this code
    So hard to mold?
There must be an easier way.
    I can’t see
    What’s happened to me
Why do I waste my days?
    Anyways...
"Think not but that I know these things; or think
I know them not: not therefore am I short
    Of knowing what I ought."
    -John Milton, Paradise Regained (1671)

"Work hard and it might happen."

Pretty good! However, if you had to present it to anyone else in the class, you will assure your status of "biggest nerd in the class" .
Do not make direct eye contact with me.

That was actually pretty good imo, lol

    The compiler is broken,
See! I knew it! I'm not the only one who blames the compiler!

    This doesn't rhyme.
    It's not even slant rhyme.

Fix these lines, and you have a winner.
    c++->visualc++->directx->opengl->c++;
(it should be realized my posts are all in a light hearted manner. And should not be taken offense to.)

    Thanks guys

    This doesn't rhyme.
    It's not even slant rhyme.
Yeah I was having trouble coming up with something for those lines...The teacher only gave us about 20 minutes to write the poem so I was in kind of a rush.

Maybe this is a better ending:

    It's always the same
The code's too hard to tame
There must be an easier way.
    I wish I could see
    What’s happened to me.
Why do I waste all my days?

I think that is really good. Most poems are people complaining about something stupid. But your complaining is actually interesting, and it actually rhymes
