Looking for something to do with my webspace...

I've got over 600 megs of webspace that I don't see myself filling up anytime soon and was wondering if anyone here had any ideas about something I could do with it...

I was thinking of writing an advanced win32 tutorial site, because there aren't really that many sites dedicated to win32 programming (other than theforger's win32 tutorials which is actually where I learned). But if i did do this, the tutorials would follow the same sort of style as NeHe's tutorials, as his are very easy to follow yet also very informative.

So any ideas of what I should do with my webspace?

i'm hosted by powweb and here's the server specs:
    30 Gigs daily bandwidth
    full PHP/sql support

So bandwidth is definitely not an issue here

If you still have to check the forger to remember, I'd suggest waiting a while, but it might work.

i don't know about a free music service....that would get my site taken down.

Lurker: I don't need theforger's tutorials anymore, lol. I've designed and created my own compiler IDE I think i've got it handled...

Offer up some of the space to other people. I have plenty of space on my host so I created an FTP account for the people at FD and they use it to post large images and self-created music and whatnot.

Just an idea... and you could do that for cprog. It would help when people want to post images (e.g. screenshots) that are too big for the allowed size on here.

You could host a rsync gentoo linux server
Help populate a c/c++ help irc channel
    server: irc://irc.efnet.net
    channel: #c

uhh... yeah. Did you even understand the OP? It's not his server. That doesn't make any sense.

well, i revamped the image today (on the last day of school, YAAAAH, i'm now a senior and only one year of school left!)

    but anyways:

    http://www.TheJeffFiles.com/temp/banner4.jpg
    http://www.TheJeffFiles.com/temp/banner5.jpg
    http://www.TheJeffFiles.com/temp/banner6.jpg

tell me what you think of those, i fixed the caption a bit so it's not repetitive

also, webhosting would be possible i suppose, but i'd have to see...there's issues with people possibly abusing their privileges. So if i did do it, it would be a web-based uploading thing.

I've actually already written scripts to do stuff like that. My Projects script allows you to login in, create and manage multiple projects, upload files, add new users to the project, and have a project development site that has a built-in html editor that you can use

    -edit-
also, i think that i could probably write the tutorials up so they could work for both visual C++ and devC++, i'll just have to get a copy of devc++. If I can get this going I might be able to have users make the ports for the tutorials after a while....

And also, the tutorials would focus at win32 programming from beginning to advanced (from MDI's to Win32 graphics to win sock programming for an instant messenger))

    What about something like this?
Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

that's pretty cool, i'll have to see what my color scheme for the site is going to be in the end.

More than likely I'll have black text-white background
