    dos programming

    i am new to dos programming and i am planning to make a game but before i do that i need toi know how many pixelsor dots there are on a full dos screenand will windows XP run dos games i dont know if this is true but so guy told me that you cant run games in dos on windows xp?

    XP has a very limited DOS emulator. It runs in virtual 8086 mode but it is very limited. Most driver stuff and sound card stuff - DMA programming and hardware interrupts will not work correctly.
