christ glirk, you really are an idiot. Govt posted a friggin government hosted site...that's the *best anyone can do*, and you're giving us this conspiracy theory bs. We're more than mature enough to admit when you've got a reasonable point, but you have yet to say much of anything that can even carry its own weight.

A quick remark about the whole "gay" issue...

2 persons expressing goodness, is more productive than 1 person expressing fear/hate.

Are you aware that so long as there is an irritant force towards homosexuality, it will continue to thrive? Some would have you believe that if you "let your guard down", the homosexual agenda will turn America into a land of gay love, sex-abuse, crime, moral sin, and disease; This is the same "fear of Hell" that keeps Christians in line. Be afraid of this fictitious "agenda", and embrace foolishness.

Everyone should practice total compassion and an "un-irritant" selfless way of living, for their own benefit.

about the whole gay thing, I simply don't understand why letting homosexuals get married ruins the 'sanctity of marriage'. Its not like there's a homosexual in your closet making farting noises in your closet every time you go to have sex, trying to ruin your relationship.

And another thing, everyone that is against homosexual marriage because it ruins the sanctity of marriage, you just blatantly come across as an a$$hole because you'd rather protect the image of marriage, an idea, than let other real human beings be happy.

    EDIT:
and someone mentioned that homosexuality is a natural occurence. People can't help the fact that they're homosexual, that's just the way that they are, and ultimately not letting them get married is a form of persecution just as bad as segregation. And the only counter argument is "oh, but it ruins the sanctity of marriage!" which is lame. I still have yet to have someone explain to me how homosexual marriage ruins the sanctity of marriage, and how ruining the sanctity of marriage is worse than being denied the right to be with someone you love, just because of the way that you are

EDIT1: and just for the record, I'm not gay, but I do think I'm being a hell of a lot more rational and pragmatic than the people who believe homosexual marriage is an evil satanic sin.

just FYI, most pagan religions don't have any problems with homosexuality... the satanic bible says that you should be able to and not afraid to do anything you want, so long as it doesn't directly interfere with somebody else's wants and/or needs...

you should seriosly consider picking up and reading the satanic bible, by Anton Szandor LaVey one day... it makes alot more sense than the bible used by catholics and other religions... it's based on fact and realism...

so long as it doesn't directly interfere with somebody else's wants and/or needs...
Wow, someone seems to agree with what I said. Homosexuals getting married doesn't ruin anybody else's relationship, and like your quote says you should be able to do whatever in the hell you want just as long as it doesn't interfere with anybody else's rights...and in the case of homosexual marriage it doesn't....all it does is supposedly taint this idea of the 'sanctity of marriage' held by overly conservative 1950s generation uncompassionate republican a$$faces. And I'm not a liberal nut either, in fact I'm a hell of a lot more conservative then you'd think.

About the whole satanic bible thing, is that for real? I don't think I'd want to read it just for credibility reasons ("Hey man I read the satanic bible, it's totally awesome, let's kill chickens!")

    EDIT:
I hate to say it but the whole gay marriage thing is just a smoke screen so that people like me will get all worked up about it and generate a lot of flame to draw attention away from more important and serious topics...such as how george bush's ears get larger and larger in the cartoons as his approval ratings drop (although to be fair he's still at the majority, and I don't disagree with everything he's done).

The government shouldn't even have anything to do with marriage... It is simply ridiculous that the gov't can regulate people's personal lives to that extent. The 'sanctity of marriage' bit that is being pushed is complete BS - roughly translated, the argument boils down to: "we are too set in our ways to actually think."

I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait for four more years of Bushtopia! I'm anxious to see what Third World country's next on Bush's global tour Shock and Awe: The 21st Century.

Another thing that's been ........ing me off about the United States is all this freedom. What am I supposed to do with it? I want the government to tell me what god to believe in; and I want them to know exactly what I read, watch, and buy so that they know I'm not some evil terrorist. What if I am and didn't even know it? I might be preparing to bomb myself any day! It's a good thing the Patriot Act and other forthcoming initiatives will help in that regard.

And it doesn't matter I've been having trouble finding a job recently. With the economy expanding as it is, maybe I'll be able to find gainful employment at the local McDonald's, thanks to Bush's wonderful policies.

I'll burst with joy if Bush is crowned for a second term.
