Exactly, I was really interested to see what they were going to find in that spot. Considering they think that there used to be water there.

They're using Java to run the rover right?

Maybe the Java Virtual Machine failed or something...brings new meaning to Write Once, Debug Everywhere.

Don't worry skeptics. They think the problem is software related, and they're probably going to reflash the software onto the rover.

god dammit, I think this project is really really cool too

probably a null pointer caused it to crash or go into an infinite loop...beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeep...

Nah, since it uses Java it would have thrown a NullPointerException and I'm sure the engineers would have thought of catching it.
