and since I'm too lazy to set it up properly, I'm going to do a "make allyesconfig"

I know but I took the time to download everything and then 2.6 comes out...I was expecting it to be another couple of months

The kernel isn't a very big download, and most distros won't come out with a 2.6 version until their next cycle. Gentoo will probably come out with one soon, but they'll probably be the first for a while.
Just download the kernel, compile it, move it to /boot, and stop ..........ing![]()

Not sure I'll upgrade for a while. Using fedora and the last kernal upgrade I did was through up2date. I have never upgraded a kernel on my own. I heard there where issues with rpm's and kernels, but yum updated fedora fine last time so I may just wait for it to be released for fedora by the people at redhat.
you forgot about the modulesOriginally posted by -KEN-

Good news, although I'm not gonna upgrade till they have full NTFS support.
Maybe if I have a lot of time to kill.
