Marijuana is not the wonderous side-effectless drug people make it out to be. If it was it would be legal.

Anyway the answer to your question is YES they can search your locker etc. without your or your parents' consent.

Not really, that's something you agree to when you sign all those forms.

Anyway I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they can.

allowed to do what exactly? do you think it is OK for high school kids to be bringing and smoking weed in school? If you do then something is not right with you. I hope I'm misunderstanding you.

    collage, ha....

Seriously though I don't think you have a choice. "Collage" or highschool.
You have a choice in collage. But if you don't allow them to search then they have the choice to deny you admitance to the school. Since most collages in my area have police departments its pretty easy for them to remove you. But its still a choice.

There are quite a few places it's legal. I'm really more interested in the drug testing aspect of this. I don't bring things to school, because thats stupid.

(The background of me getting suspended, is because I took a ride with a friend to school and he had stuff in his car and we got searched when we arrived. Although I didn't know about it I was doing pot on weekends)

from what I know about the procedures in my high school is that your high school can't request drug testing themselves. They could probably be a big influence if you ever been or will be in court. You can get on probabtion (not school but law) that you will have to ........ in a cup every week. The ceverity of the punishment here will be much bigger then just being expelled from high school.

I really don't want to lecture here, but if pot has cause so much trouble for you why not just stop dude....at least stop til you graduate high school, you're only a fscking sophmore dude!

Well it was only one incident, and again not really my fault. I find the rewards to be something worthwhile. My grades haven't sufffered at all since I've used. I'm still an A B student.

rewards? I think you are giving weed too much credit, lol. I don't smoke pot but I drink - a lot. I don't consider a buzz a rewrd though....more like a pretty hilerious experiance.

I don't give 2 $$$$s about anything that was said... I just need to point something out:

It is spelled c-o-l-l-E-g-e.... not collage. Damn... i don't mean to be so anal about spelling lately... but get a clue people.

    >thats BS, i hate the school system..

I wouldn't call it BS. They are not your lockers, they are the schools. They simply "lend" them to you for the school year and let you put your books in them. They can search them any time they want.

Personally I don't think some of you should be so hard on ZakkWylde969.

I am strongly against drugs, however, I knew quite a lot of people who did drugs in my high school. Many of them were cool guys. Just because they have made a few choices that could hurt their health in the long run does not make someone a bad person, although I do not agree with the choice.

Best advice is keep the drugs WELL away from the school and you'll be fine.
