    Network Shmetwork

    OK, here's the deal.

My 3 roommates and I have a Ethernet LAN set up in our rented house. I'm running Windows ME and they're all running Windows 98. Two of the 98 machines are running just fine - they can see all the other computers on the network. My computer and one of the 98 machine can only see the other computers if we go into the network neighborhood and put it "\\Computer name".

We can run TCP/IP games just fine, but it crashes on things like our LAN Chat program...

    I'm stumped!

thats because windows ME is plain crap, and 98 can't do networks. Try upgrading to windows XP

    Sound formiler:
And I don't want to download AIM because it will take up more space on my computer, not that I haven't got anymore space, and it will slow it down
of coarse you have 50g left, defrag is broke, and I have no clue about scandisk.

Maybe you shoud try Format C:, then repartion it to small drives.
