Firebird's OK, but it feels a bit more sluggish to me, and I like Opera's general interface better (not to mention its mouse gestures are better).

And IE...? Well, the less said about IE the better.

    Well duh, I know that. I meant to get a fully-licensed, no-ads.

I should have put "free" in quotes or something, I guess.

On Windows, I use Firebird. I've never liked IE, and it has never worked on my computer for more than a week after an upgrade (not something I'm terribly sad about). The old Netscape 4.x browsers were great (I recently got an old comp with Redhat 6.2 and Netscape 4... ah the memories ), but once they got to v 6, they just became horrible. Mozilla is a little too clunky for my taste. Firebird is simple and has enough features.

On Linux, however, I go with Galeon.

Firebird in Linux and SlimBrowser in Windows.

SlimBrower is probably a bit like MyIE2. It uses IE as the backbone, but has features like tabbed browsing, popup blocker, etc...

They say that if you play a Windows Install CD backwords, you hear satanic messages. That's nothing; play it forward and it installs Windows.

MyIE2 has tabs and also lets you customize domain completion (I love typing in "cprogramming" and hitting Ctrl+Enter as well with other domains. MyIE2 lets you customize three different domain completors). Also, MyIE2 has a popup ad blocker, haven't noticed _any_ ads since using it, and all other popups that were supposed to come up, have. It has easy integration with IE, it doesn't have a different folder for favorites (although you can have it be different), so if for some reason IE is in use again, my favorites are updated. Also many plugins and ability to use IE plugins. A search bar can search google along with many different search engines, and search for files (ftp, types of files). It also loads pretty fast. As far as I know, MyIE2 does _not_ need IE as a backbone, but I might be mistaken.

OK, so I downloaded MyIE2, mainly because I couldn't get Opera to work correctly behind the firewall at work, and it's not bad. I still like Opera better, but this is a nice substitute for work.

OH, and Neandrake... you do realize that MyIE2 allows you to use aliases, right? Right click on the tab->Assign Alias. All I do is type "c" and push enter and it takes me here. And I set all my other favorite sites up with one letter aliases too.

I heard about the aliases, but I didn't know what they do. That's cool, gonna have to set that up =)

Sounds cool, Opera should add it. They already have the cool customizable searches ("g <searchterm>" for google, etc.), so it shouldn't be too hard to add.

I just stick links on my toolbar right (to the left of) next to the security lock right now. It looks great; integrates well into the whole bar, doesn't knock things out of proportion, etc. Go Opera.

Are you talking about the aliases -Ken-??? Opera DOES have it. Check the properties of your favorites. Otherwise, I may not have noticed it in MyIE2.
