This is a discussion on The hit wizard? within the A Brief History of Cprogramming.com forums, part of the Community Boards category; http://unix.rulez.org/~calver/pictur...hit_wizard.jpg Don't know how "old" this one is, but it made me chuckle so I decided to share. Hmm......

    Is this merely a little lighthearted humor about a clichéd musical genre, or is it something worse? The designer of this dialogue box seems to have some not so covert disdain for urban African-American culture. If this person truly intended a "fair and balanced" satire of the contemporary popular musical environment, he or she would have made similar dialogue boxes for country music, teen pop music, punk music, and metal.

    However, in regards to the use of Clippy, I have to say, "Well done!" If there is any redeeming intellectual value in this satirical work, it's the use of Clippy.

    I agree, lighten up. I love rap/hip-hop music. My 3 best friends are black, and I still find it funny. Why? Because I know its true. It is good to laugh.

    So, like they said before, lighten up.

    That was funny.
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    How to create a pop hit

    step 1:

    "Number of love per minute:"
    "Number of sorry per minute:"
    "Number of 'heeeeey' and 'aaaah' and 'oooh' per minute:"

    The main subject is:
    "I am so sad because my girl broke up :'( "
    "I wub u <3"
    "I am so sorry "
    "She doesn't like me when will she??!!! ;_;"

    Steal melody from:
    '60's (beatles, animals)
    '50's (presly)
    Elton John
    Classic Music

    Lyrics for background:
    "sorry"
    "love"
    "oooh, aaah, heeey etc."
    "uh-uh"
    "yeah"

    If only todays artists did take their melodies from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Pink Floyd et al. Maybe we wouldn't have to listen to that same boppy drum machine that you expect from the end of a Disney film with overpampered pretty boys singing over it.

    We'd get to listen to some fine musicianship with overpampered pretty boys singing over it.

    No thanks, they can take credit for their own songs, not someone elses. (Hi Vanilla Ice)
