    Math Book Suggestions

I need some suggestions on a good/fun math textbook.
I have taken collage level calc but basicly wan't to start over with trig or pre calc as it has been several years. I need a book that covers such topics as transformations, rotation/scaling matrics and other things needed for 2d and 3d graphics programming. I wan't a full math text though and not a programming book. The more info it provides the better. Will consider buying two if I get some good suggestions.

Matrix Computations by Golub and Van Loan is a "classic" in its field, if you will. I've used it as a reference, and it is quite good.

Matrix Analysis by Horn and Johnson is another excellent book. More of a theoretical math book than a practical one (as the previous book is), but still very good.

They might be a bit heavy for what you are looking for though.
The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.

Thanks for the reply. I will include the book in my future reading but was hoping for somthing a little more general for now. I think I could get away without it and just use the internet but books are more handy. Finally any suggestions on a calc book.

this is probably the single most comprehensive math book for 3d game programming in existance

note i've got the FIRST edition, this is actually the second edition, and the first edition is an extremely difficult read, so expect the second edition to be a difficult read

    Wink

Lol I have that book. It is a bit advanced and I am still studying 2d graphics. It's is a good book though, I was just hoping for a more generalized math book. Thanks for the input though. I actually picked up a few book that should help me get up to pace if I apply myself. My problem is I want to learn everything in a week, but most things take much longer.
