PDA and C

I am currently writing programs for PDA's with Embedded VB - however, i wanted to start using vb.net - but currently everything that i need is not available in .net yet.. So, i started looking at Java J2ME - which from what i have been reading doesn't seem to be supported like it use to be and i have read that you can use C - which i know quite well - but never coded for handhelds before.. Can anyone recommend any good websites or books for learning?

edit: oohhh, you're in luck! MS provides a complete MSDN-style help program for eVC++ and eVB.
