Actually McNabb was injured all last year, but came back and played in the playoffs which ticked a lot of peole off because he didn't look so good vs Tampa Bay. Some people are picking him high hoping that he could be as good as he was two years ago.

And for the sake of argument, lets assume that suddenly he suddenly starts kicking arse and becomes the best QB in the league. At best he'll score a couple of more points on average than say Hasselback who you have or someone like Brad Johnson or Ramsey who ROD can have for free. But Holmes routinely scores QB like numbers, far more than any other running back. And a RB who scores QB numbers is far more valuable than a QB who puts up the same numbers because now you are basically starting two QB's. I could care less if it's fair to ROD, if he wants to just have fun and start all the Eagles then more power to him. I care that by taking advantage of ROD not caring you just picked up the #1 player in the league for basically nothing (yes McNabb COULD be good, but there are a lot of free QB's out there who have just as much potential and right now ARE good including Hasselback who is having a break out year) and to me that isn't fair to either me or Kermi.

But like I said, if Kermi doesn't care than I'll shut up. What sayest thou Kermi?

I'm not going to argue with you, but the trade's already done. He wanted the players, and I wanted Holmes. He's been bugging me for weeks about Akers.

    >including Hasselback who is having a break out year

I picked him up for free, actually. He had a great end run on the season last year and I heard a lot of people at another board raving about him. kermi actually made fun of me when I picked him up - it was pretty funny.

I know, thats why I said you got Holmes for free since McNabb is worthless to you.

Short of giving back Holmes, is there anything you want me to do to fix it?

I don't know, I'm curious what Kermi thinks. If he doesn't care then I know I'm just being whiney! I'm not sure if he is still reading this thread, I'll see if I can flag him down.

Ok, I think it's a wee bit unfair that ROD's making a stupid trade to the league winner just to have the home QB. Granted I made trades to pick up Saints players earlier this season - but those were reasonable trades....

What I'm really ticked about now though is that there's no one I'm willing to drop to get the TE I need for this weekend so I'll be playing without one.

Though I have to be honest...my"full efforts" are in another league right now....which I'm winning.

Why don't you just pick up another TE? Seems pretty stupid to play without just because you can't get the one you want.

    > Granted I made trades to pick up Saints players earlier this season - but those were reasonable trades....

Didn't you trade me Clinton Portis for Deuce McAllister or some crap? You got dropkicked on that one.

edit: I don't think you guys would be doing this if I wasn't in first.

Kermi, I'm sure you have a number of players that neither me or Cheez would jump all over if you dropped for a couple of days. Just drop one, then repick them up on Tuesday.

    >>Didn't you trade me Clinton Portis for Deuce McAllister or some crap? You got dropkicked on that one.<<

Heh, true he did get dropkicked on that one. But it was reasonable at the time, just didn't work out to well for him later. McNabb for Holmes before the season started would have been ok since it was unknown how good either would be. But now we know McNabb is risky to simply be a good quarterback while Holmes is by far the best fantasy player in the league.

    >>edit: I don't think you guys would be doing this if I wasn't in first.<<

No, it would be unfair either way, its just that now its bordering on no fun. You obviously already had a very good team, and now you add on an extra 10-15 points or so most weeks due to Holmes at no cost, and then the league isn't exactly competitive anymore. If you got Holmes through a fair trade, or picked him up before the season started then I'd be OK with the fact I got beat fair and square by a football guru and continue to try my hardest. But as it stands, if you start blowing us out the next two weeks or so I doubt I'll still care enough to pay attention after that.

Just for the record, I'm not accusing you cheez of intentionally trying to screw us over, I'm just saying that in the end thats what the trade is probably gonna do.

I'm honestly not trying to screw you guys over. I don't know how I'd prove that (I know you're not asking me to).

Don't worry, I believe that you had no idea we'd be upset by this, whats done is done I guess. And I'm sorry if I'm making such a big deal out of this, guess I'm still hungover from being screwed in my baseball leagues (one of them would have won me 450 bucks!)

Personally if I was in your shoes I just wouldn't start Holmes until McNabb plays well enough to justify the trade. But if you still disagree with us then feel free to start him, I wouldn't hold it against ya.

Duce will still come through. Don't you worry. I'm betting on 100 yards this weekend. I have him in my other leage too so....

I'm not too worried about the TE - there's not another one out there I like and Shockey's really good. TE's don't being in too many points...I'll scrape by.

Holy krap is right! And that was with him starting two players who didn't even play! But I guess having a QB who gets seven touchdowns will do that for ya along with a reciever who catches 3. And I had no idea Edgerrin wouldn't play, Jamal had a good game and he was on my bench Oh well, at least I still have two players going tonight.

Cheez, why didn't you pick up a QB?
