actually its not just porn movies that get X ratings. Extreme gore and violence can also earn such status.

_The Shining_ would get my vote.
My vote for worst one would be _I Still Know What You Did Last Summer_.

There hasn't been an X-rated movie for years. The MPAA stopped labeling it that way in 1990.

Event Horizon was disturbing (yet good). Another one I liked was Pitch Black.
The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.

well thats just the way the movie geek at blockbuster described it. But anyway, the point still stands, the movie was finished a while ago and didnt get released due to violence and gore. It out now.

House on Haunted Hill (original), Legend of Hell House, and Psycho. I really can't choose between those, they're all the old horror movies and in the first two you don't see the "evil", but in psycho they really couldn't avoid showing him.

Edit: Add the movie The Other to the list, that was a great and scary move, RENT IT!!!

The Other is the one where the grandma of the two twins teaches them something called "the game" and they do bad stuff with it. Plus there's a littel twist that may surprise you.

First being in a graveyard at 3am is not scary. But maybe I feel that way because my old house was surrounded by a graveyard and Catholic Church on one side, a Methodist church across the street, and a church turned into house for catholic priest on the other side.

Event horizon was definitely creepy, freaked me out when I first saw it, granted I was in the 6th grade, but still a good movie.

But the absolute scariest movie ever was the sequel to Blair witch project. I still have nightmares over how bad that movie was. I still don't know how anyone could come up with such stereotypical and just plain $$$$ty characters.

saw 28 days later... actually not a very scary movies... there were only 18 zombies over the course of 2.5 hours(according to my count)... It's actually a great all around movie... some parts a little improbable, none the less the music/soundtrack rock.

I'd go for Stephen King movies...

IT, the clown freaks me out, the book is better though
The Stand, never seen a cooler devil

Most horrifying ? Movies staring Hugh Grant. Honestly, that scares me.

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
