Photoshop 7 / darkening

I am using Photoshop 7, and want to darken an entire image. The only way I have seen how to do this is with the Blur tool, and it hardly darkens, plus I dont want to blur things. How would I do this? Thanks all !

Try the burn tool. Or just fill a new layer with black and set the opacity low. Or, well, poke around PS and see. There are lots of ways to do anything with PS.

edit: Although the easiest way would probably be image->adjustments->brightness/contrast, and sliding down the brightness.
