I'm being made to work on projects (in my office) which I do not wish to work into. I'm very much frustrated ... have become short-tempered with time. Need tips on self-control.
thanks

We got a new project manager. She is really pushing hard. I want to kick ass, but she is senior.
Maybe u can politely, and in private as to not look as if you are challenging her, ask her to pace it down so that you can increase the quality of your work.
Thanks for the suggestion, Rod. Maybe I'll make some headway that way. Seniors do have high ego at times. It's best not to take them head on
I don't wait for the future; it comes soon enough.
Alternatively, ask her to explain the need for speed.
Often, it is pressure of the market or customers that dictate when something should be done. Do things slowly, you don't sell anything, the market has already gone. No market/customers, no work, no job.
Of course, there are also project managers that push hard to get results that impress their managers.

Fact of life.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity unto the dream.
