Thread: Music Notation Software

    Music Notation Software

I'm trying to find a good, free music notation program. The best I could find is Finale Notepad 2003, but it lacks support for having multiple time signatures within one song, which I need.

Anybody here find any good music notation programs? If I can't find any, I'll just have to try and make one.

    cakewalk is good but expensive.

Guitar Pro is awsome and free but im not sure if its still available. it supports guitar tab and music and will play the music you write with a huge library of sounds (guitar, violin, etc,...)

I checked out the demo and it works fine. It's in the download area.

Oh, I forgot to mention that. I need one for band instruments like percussion, woodwinds, brass, etc.

Have you guys used TablEdit? It's pretty sweet for tablature work.
