While I was in University, my friend went back home to shoot rabbits and bring them back for us all to eat. We used to put them in a big curry. That was the only proper meal we used to eat........ Much nicer than stealing from the uni's canteen........

We used to shoot'em. You can pull the skin right off in one piece and slap them on the barbie. (BBQ not plastic Matel(?) doll) Bit of 'dead horse' (tomato sauce/ketchup) and your away.

Remembering that rabbits were introduced into Australia so the English landowners could hunt the foxes, also introduced, that feed off them. Now we have BIG feral fox, rabbit, cat and (the brilliant scientific control) cane toad problems.
The little buggers, cane toads, have hopped almost all the way round Australia avoiding hallucinating druggies/wildlife (you can boil them and get high) and the guy who makes wallets out of them. Not many Australians have seen as much of Australia as the cane toad.

When I was up at Airlie, cane toad racing was very popular in the backpacking bars. You got a bucket of toads each with a number stuck on it's back, turned them out into the centre of a round table, (about 2m in diameter), and then yelled like your life depended on it in an attempt to get them to hop. The first one over the edge of the table was judged the winner.
Passed the time between bar visits.
