The Warped Tour was in town today. This tour has always blown.
Lollapalooza comes in August. I probably won't go to that, either.
But, I do want to. Audioslave, and, and, woohoo, Jane's Addiction
will be there. Also performing at the festival (in Salt Lake City):
Incubus (bleh), The Donnas (Hate 'em), Jurrassic 5 (semi-rad, but
Cypress Hill would have been better), and A Perfect Circle (better
than Tool, but I don't know if I'd like them without their bass
player -- she's with Zwan now. I don't like when band members
change; it makes the band seem like a business). Compared to
past Lollapaloozas, this one doesn't sound great. They really
need to kick The Donnas off the tour; they belong on a Warped
Tour stage with all those other crappy bands. Replace The Donnas
with Homer getting shot in the tummy with a Cannon, and I'll go.
Edit: Plus, it's being sponsored by freaking Xbox. Boo!
Radiohead. Wow, they're actually coming to Utah. Again, I probably
won't be going (I don't really get out much), but it's still rad.
Phish. My cousin just went to a Phish show in Texas; he's a hippy.
Back when Garcia died, he traveled to San Francisco (I think that's
where it was) for his memorial. I'm not really a Phish fan, so I
don't think I'll make it to this one, either. Actually, I know I won't
be going to this one.
Dave Matthews Band. I like the music, but I don't have sandals
or Khaki shorts; I wouldn't fit in with the other 25,000 people
there.
Blue Man Group, August 4th. Now that sounds entertaining. I
wonder if they're going to perform their Pentium III act. That'd
be suh-weet.
