    POP email

Yeah, so I'm quite sick of the girls doing unmentionable things with horses in my hotmail inbox daily. Don't want to see that. I figured that instead of registering a new Hotmail account just so that I can get the spam again in a few months, I would try to find a free address that would give me POP access so I could use Eudora or something. Not having much luck finding one...and that makes me sad Google has been of no use to me, so I was wondering if any of you know of a site that will give me POP access to the inbox for free, or if any of you run a server and would be willing to give me an account.
    Away.

simple enough if you mean pop3... and nearly all webmail providers allow you to use pop3... hotmail being an exception because they use a slightly different protocol

    telnet mail9.com 110

yeah, I meant pop3, sorry. I'm assuming that it gives me smtp acess too. I registered at mail9.com, and I can see everything from their website... but when I try to set it up to download the messages from Outlook Express, I don't have any luck. Granted, I don't know anything about what I'm doing, really, but I couldn't find any help on the site for how to set it up to download the messages through POP3, or the name of the server from which to do it, or anything... I did this

Outlook express -> tools -> accounts -> add -> mail

entered my name, [email protected], clicked the POP3 thing... and now I don't know what to do. Can you help me out?
    Away.

I've had the same hotmail address for a few years and I only get around 2-3 pieces of junk mail a week.

What about your ISP e-mail blackrat?

Either my ISP doesn't offer email, or I don't know how to get to it. Perhaps I can check into it.
    Away.
