Remember that Agent Smith has probably been around for all five Ones and seen them all come and go. This time it's happening just like the last five, with one exception, and that is Agent Smith's powers and abilities.. Once again, this is exactly why (and the only reason why in my estimation) that the cycle will fail to repeat a sixth time
I don't think you're right, I suspect that Smith is merely refering to the fact that Neo is stronger than the agents as he was at the end of Matrix one.

If Smith was around for all five "ones" then he would have known he didn't stand a chance vs. Neo in Matrix 1, but he refered to Neo beating him as an impossibility (never the less one that occured).

Plus if smith knew what was going on he wouldn't be so hell bent on killing Neo because doing so would presumeably mean the end the matrix (since Neo could never meet the architect and complete the cycle) and hence the end of him.

I think it fails because of love; Neo chooses the other door because he was in love with Trinity which overides his logical thinking.

Well it's fine with me that you disagree with me, but I really have to say that I think you're missing some important points. Why would Smith say what he said in the manner in which he said it? Without sounding too repetitive I want to stress the fact that it is quite obvious they were attempting to make the point I'm making with the revelation of the second Smith coupled with his line... Why would he say to himself out of the blue that Neo is stronger than the agents? It's not a surprise to him; Neo blew him up! He's already known for (possibly) years that Neo is stronger than the agents. Wait a second, are you saying that his line "It's happening like before" was referring to Neo beating up agents like in part one? If so, I truly think you are failing to miss the grandeur of the whole situation.

Smith was around for previous Ones. How would he have known he couldn't kill Neo in part one? It was referenced that Morpheus freed other people before Neo, each of whom he thought was The One, only to watch them die. As far as Smith knew, Neo wasn't The One. He probably didn't know until he blew him up at the end of part one (which I believe is the impossibility he was referring to), and that is why Agent Smith felt confident that with his newfound multiplying powers he could stick his hand in Neo and take control of him or if not beat him with his new ability of multiplicity...

Owell, either way, just wait until Nov 5 and you'll have the answers (well, either that or they'll just go right over your head).

I disagree. When Smith said this if I remmeber correctly it was just after they had fought a little. However it was also before Smith first displayed his new powers - his Ace in the hole. I think that he thought that with a portion of Neo's power he was more powerful than Neo. But anyway enough is enough. It was a good movie.

If that was the case, saying "It's happening just as before" wouldn't make any sense. It actually wasn't after any fighting with Smith. It was just after Neo defeated the 3 new agents at the captain meeting...
In any case, enough is in fact enough.

No, the albino twins were the ghosts. The people who rammed the trucks, jumped from car to car, and who fought Morpheus on top of the truck were agents. If you think they were deleted programs, where in the movie does it say that? Only Agent Smith was supposed to be deleted, the other agents were fine.

    Matrix Reloaded Questions

Who is the french dood that owns the keymaker? what importance does he hold besides that he controls the keymaker

are the white agents cooler than smith (obviously not, smith is turbo cool)

    did the white agents die?

in that huge party at zion, were all 250,000 zion inhabitant all having sex at the same time?

at the beginning of the reloaded, the agents want to give neo something? what is it?

why didn't morpheus get copied by smith in that one building?

    why is the keymaker chinese?

what happens if neo went thru the other door (this is exactly copied from the f**kin red pill/blue pill morpheus should have know jajaja)

I agree that they would likely be ghosts. Because that french dude seems to keep obsolete programs for guards. Also, what would those two white ghosts be doing with him if they were not obsolete? He ordered them around, so I'm guessing that he's keeping them from being deleted (thus them all travelling in groups). The oracle had said "What do all men with power want? More power." and I believe that he gains power by accepting all other 'obsolete' programs, creating a refuge for them as long as they serve him. The french guy also said something to the effect of "I've outlasted your predessors, and I can do it again"?(something like that) (which also helps indicate why he has the keymaker, because he allows them to have escape routes through the matrix)

    >>did the white agents die?
No, but it caused their bodies to become displaced and made them have to regenerate (as shown with gun wounds to their arm), at least I think their still alive.

    >>in that huge party at zion, were all 250,000 zion inhabitant all having sex at the same time?

This brings up an interesting topic, because if the theory holds that 23 members from the matrix were to be selected to 'restart' zion, how did they get so many different people so quickly? And so many nationalities? Now the Architect doesn't make any sense if you think about it like that. How could 23 members create so many many many young people? (Given that the Matrix is little over 100 years old, and they are the 5th counsel)

    >>at the beginning of the reloaded, the agents want to give neo something? what is it?
It's their earpiece, it helps symbolify that they are no longer connected to the matrix in the same way.

    >>why didn't morpheus get copied by smith in that one building?
Because Neo kicked the agents off, thus not allowing them to complete the copying process.

    why is the keymaker chinese?
Probably so that the film didn't look racist. Remember, the Keymaker is still a program, so they can use any nationality they want.

I think he was talking about the guys in the black suits which were agents, not the albino twins which were likely obsolete/deleted programs.

The 23 members didn't give birth to all of those people, most of them were rescued humans from the matrix, and thus could be any nationality and any age.

The earpiece was from Agent Smith only, not from the other agents. Only Agent Smith was set free, the others are still connected to the matrix as they were before, except as upgrades which Neo joked about.

I tend to believe that the other two agents from part one were deleted since the agents in Reloaded look nothing like them and the fact that they suddenly lost their use by being afraid of Neo.. That's just me though.

I have seen The Matrix Reloaded today and enjoyed it.....
I hope to see the next Matrix soon (countdown ;-))

    @Xei:
quote: I also didn't quite follow what he was saying about some woman program that did testing where 99.9% of the people accepted the programming. Hopefully I'll get that when I go back tomorrow.

The woman, the Architect is talking about is the Oracle....
But she decided to fight for the other site (it seems to be so, but if there is a matrix in the matrix, she is evil and is just a program to protect the other program)

What do you think about the albino twins?

My opinion is, that they are viruses in the Matrix and the coder was this program, who wrote them (which liked to be a french man).....

And what do you think about this guy?
Does he have enough power to kill Neo, if he would have, why hadn't he killed his girlfriend program, who kissed Neo.
Maybe she has more power than he????

WE DUNNO, SO WE HAVE TO WAIT AND HOPE TO SEE THE MATRIX AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

I have a question, was the french guys girlfriend a program or a human? She seemed human by wanting a passionante kiss, but at the same time seemed more powerful than a normal human.
