    MS Screwed Me Again!

I don't have sound now! lol. I guess today was a bad day. I'm going to have to throw this computer in the garbage and purchase a new computer with WinXP in January. I think I'll get an Intel 64.

MS keeps ****ing me. This time I want a CD- KEY!!!!!

AMD is to Microsoft as Netscape Navigator is to Internet Explorer.

Basically the way I see it is that you have to purchase an 'Original Equipment Manufacturer' system that comes with WinXP. You can't get a clone and you can't get a computer in parts that you assemble. The reason is because there are too many things that can screw up your system.

I attracted this problem because I did illegal stuff. An operating system is a very fragile piece of software. You have to buy all microsoft or else there is only grief. That's the way they have designed it.

CD keys for the OS are usually on your tower for some odd reason.

heh.. they did that to the computers at my school.. one of my friends was going to try to install Win2k and use that, but they decided against it due to the fact that the school would kill him.

My PCs and the one i just built for my mother are all put together by me from different parts - i have put xp on fine - there was an initial problem with my aureal vortex sound card but i reinstalled all drivers and changed the speaker port and that was then fine. The only problem i had with mother's PC was installing the voodoo 2 card as no-one is making drivers for that anymore.

The one thing you do have to do is hunt for drivers especially with canon as they did not seem to bundle any scanner drivers with xp for my two canon scanners - however canon had drivers on their web page. And i had to get drivers for my graphics tablet.

btw if you want a dvd player for the pc get winDVD as that works perfectly with xp as well

winDVD is what screwed my sound. I don't have patience to put little wires together. I need stuff that works. Too bad you don't live around here.
