CoderBob, nice way of putting it. back then i could arguie with what was going on, but that was decades and decades ago. now theres talk of reparations, unemployment isnt enought any more? if they actually meet the family member i could see some trama, or if there person was alive i could see some cash, but not after this many years.

alot "minorities" use theres difference as a excuse. like where i live, i have alot of native "americans". alot of them are ok. they dont complain about every little thing, not dont get arrest everyday and they dont blame white people for everything. but the other 80% are practicaly fellons in high school, will never have a job but still whin about everything. but theres still reservations, theres still no tax and alot of other crap. since when does making white people(the then majority that did do alot of horrible things) kiss every one elses asses make equality? it has gotten rediculas.

you should question everything, but you should also know when to shutup. do you really thing we should tell where weapons of mass destructtion are? give away are hand? make our job harder? if we tell about the weapons they werent be there to be disarmed. maybe even stolen by another group. if we tell how we got it, the source becomes useless. how many americans do we have to let die? idealy no one would die, but how many revolutions were bloodless? if someone has to die you have to have alittle pride and what it to be somewhere else. personally, i wish we just took out the bunckers we knew he was in or may be in and his weapons years ago. it would take out the dictator and the weapons the major problem. a new gov would have to be set up, but isnt that what the un is for? arent there charitites thta would help out? we could give them help with airlifts and free rides but why do we always pick up the bill.

    > the real problem is you get labeled

Said the man who started the "what party are you" thread. We're not arguing with you because you have a label. We're arguing with you because you're a god damn moron.

hmm.....taxes should goto americans. taxes should be a huge chunk of average people paycheck. we should try to help every single person in the world. we shouldnt pick up every bill. such terrible ideas, but atleast with clinton we had a good economy. it was the internet at all, it was mr bjs work that did it.

It's thanks to Islam that you ever learned how to count to 10!
And I was always under the impression that the Hindus came up with Arabic numerals, and the Arabs just played a role in "importing" them to Europe. Silly me...

And you can count to 10 in Roman numerals (though they are amazingly cumbersome). Since it is obvious you have never learned about them, I will give you a short demonstration. I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X. It's like magic!

I don't understand why so many people post as guests. Are you really so embarsed by your own opinions you must hide from others?

I stand by what I said earlier. We can't help them solve their aids problem by simply handing out drugs and giving them treatment. We must stop them from getting aids in the first place! Only through education is there a fighting chance. If we just hand out drugs, the situation will only get worse.

Educate first, cure the already ill. If the future generations do not listen to their eduction, and do not actively try to prevent themselves from getting sick in the first place, I do not want MY money going to them. Sorry, I just don't.

There's too much wrong in America for us to be throwing our money to other countries. You know what I just heard today? Legalized gambling in my state (Washington) may be expanded in order to bring in enough money to give educators a pay increase. Do you have any idea what kind of a pay increase they could get off of that 15 billion dollars?

Do you help your neighbor fix his garage door while your roof is collapsing? I really do wish we'd work on our own issues first, because as is so blindly obvious, there is many.

But as i alrdy said a better thing would be to give the countries where AIDS is widelyspread a chance to become something on world-level... i know this will take a long time and by then millions will have died alrdy coz of AIDS. But you cant only solve the consequence (AIDS) but you have to solve the problem wich i poverty.

PS: Maybe this doenst really matter in this thread but hell, some ppl here where talking the regular american-underdog langauge.
Therefore i just wanted to say that if every single human being on this planet would live like an AVERAGE american then we would need 3 globes to put all these ppl on (thats included that on that planet resources are like oil, water etc just like on the earth).

It is true that the Arabs imported the actual figures from the Hindues, but it was a great Muslim man who was named Al-Khwarizimi, who was working in Baghdad, who came up with using the digit "0" for nothing, and the whole base 10 counting system. He also invented algebra. Without these inventions, there would probably not be any C++ - programming, so without him, this whole board would might not have existed.

And yes, you nut, I have indeed learned the Roman numerals, but which do you consider most efficient, "883" or "DCCCLXXXIII"?

First off his name was Kharrazmi not as arabs call him"al_khawarazi".

    second:
he was from kharrazm area(eastern caspian sea) and not an Arab. He was a Persian ,as in the case of

majority of the philosepfers, poets, mathematicians of the era.

Did I ever say that this man was an Arab? A Muslim is not necesseraly an Arab you know, only one fifth of all the world's Muslims, is also Arab.

Yes, he was born in this area you mentioned, but he went to Baghdad.

    >> There's too much wrong in America for us to be throwing our money to other countries. <<

Because it is the right thing to do. Because they need help just to survive. These countries are poor so we can be rich. A lot more could be done if 40% of US foriegn aid did not go to the 16th richest country in the world in the form of arms.

Or would you rather wait until they decide that their only recourse to improve their lives is terrorism?

And where does the money come from? Mom's and Dads, money better spent on their families.
Having seen the addicts that inhabit a casino first hand I would not wish more gambling on my worst enemy.

    I have an easy solution.

    Go way.
    Stop reading.
Turn the PC off and go outside.

I do hope you realize I'm not for it at all. My point was how screwed up it is that we have to increase gambling in order to give teachers a pay raise.

I just heard today there's a bill going through to potentially triple that 15 billion dollars. If we have enough money to give away an extra 30 billion dollars to other countries, why don't we use it on the things that we need?

Excellent. Bravo. This man speaks truth!

I visit many boards and this was the first thread of this type that didn't get out of hand. I was very compelled to read every post. Here's my thoughts:

    - About Bush: his accent may be annoying but I must admit he's a hell of a man. Everything he does seems to be decisive and he has a firm assurance about him. Clinton and Gore would never give you that. Hell, the only reason Clinton did something about Kosovo (I agreed with) was because he needed something to cover up the Lewinsky scandal (I didn't agree with)

    - About AIDS in poor countries: Educate? Educate? Hmmmm...I'm sure they've been educated by AIDS enough. No one can fix a country's poor status if they have no economic foundation (trade) in the first place. Giving them our aid is the right thing to do. This is just one of the US "lead by example" tactics hoping other countries will jump in to. It usually works

    - About US bashing. Absurd. Maybe if our country wasn't so much weened on conspiracty theories conjured up by our own entertainers we wouldn't be so much dumber than we were during past wars. I wish we had movie stars and ball players doing their part like they were in World War II (i.e.,Ted Williams, Elvis). I pretty much have always tuned out Hollywood now they have given me a reason to tune their liberal ass out more.

-About the draft: You got to be serious. Did you know (correct me if I'm wrong) their are only 3 members of Congress who have family members in the military? I'm a veteran myself so I find it highly ridiculous that Senator Rangel of New York would say something so silly as to bring back a relic such as the draft. After 9/11 I got to see the influx of young people joining the military....people are more proud of this country than many would like us all to believe. Their is no need for a draft. Besides, the way most people are sensitive today I don't think it would be a good idea to make someone fight who doesn't want to

    Rack me, I'm out.

Ummmm no, I think the fact the thread went from Aids to Muslims in 3 simple steps says it all. Maybe if you read the posts correctly you would understand.

It was zooming into flame, flame, flame.

And no, I wont go outside 'cos I may see you! Never know.
