half-life's source code was released a while back, i would post the link but i dont have it anymore...i'll try to dig it up, if anyones interested

Well, they're not making any money off of this almost 10 year old game, except the occasional bargain bin grab. It's good publicity, at the very least. id's released the code for a bunch of their games - Wolf3d, DOOM, Quake 1 and 2...
